Description:  This on-line project takes two communities, one Northern and one Southern, through the experience of the American Civil War. The project uses hypermedia archives of thousands of sources for this period, and information and data for the region around Virginia, Pennsylvania. This is more than just an American history site. It can be used creatively to look at the social consequences of political ambition and the use of differences of opinion to divide and conquer through war.
