Title: A Class Divided
Description: One day in 1968 Jane Elliott, a teacher in a small all-white town, divided her year 3 class into blue-eyed and brown-eyed groups and gave them a daring lesson in discrimination. The story of that lesson and its lasting impact on the children is available from this site. We would caution teachers about repeating this exercise in their own class without full and proper consultation with school management and parents.

The photo archive contains over 50 million photos and over 800 are added each day. The subscription rate for schools is quite reasonable for a tool which would be invaluable to social science teachers, irrespective of whether they develop their own classroom materials in print or on the web.
