NEC – market leader in Germany
for multimedia projectors – has added three new LCD projectors to its VT
series. Automatic keystone correction is a new feature of the projectors
in this class. This function automatically corrects the distortion caused
by upward projection without the intervention of the user.
The VT460 has a resolution of
800 x 600 pixels (SVGA) and brightness of 1,500 ANSI lumens. The new model
has three separate connections for RGB, s-video and video. Each video
input has a corresponding audio input. This means that up to three video
units such as DVD players, video cameras or VHS recorders can be connected
simultaneously. Three direct-access keys
located on the top of the projector make it easy to switch between
sources (RGB, s-video, video).
The projector has a zoom
lens (projection ratio 1.5 - 1.77
: 1) with a particularly short focus, making them perfect for projecting
large images over shorter distances, even in small rooms.
